Bad service, can't listen, give you business, I am guilty? Fuck your mother Very very bad service !!!!!!!!!!!?
Chicken wings (juicy and delicious), pork noodles (tasty pork, noodles have nice springy, firm texture but didn’t taste of much), stingray (crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth on the inside). Garlic okra and garlic potato greens were actually my favourite dishes but maybe I was just craving green at the time!
MoreIts average now.Used to be much better but the food is quite boring now. The wings are good but used to be better. I ordered a Kungkang Belacan (stirfried spinach) that came 40 minutes after I had even finished the wings.
MorePrice is more expensive than outsideMost important is food quality become worse and worseStaff attitude is very badIf you are tourists, be prepared to be CHOP
MoreWaste of my one star! Lousy service , rude staff throwing menu to us and shout at us to order fast as he wants to finish work & go home. The menu looked so old and cant really see the price, so we asked what is the price of certain dish. He scolded us blind and said the price is on the menu. One Japanese couple seating opposite us was scolded by him as well, we end up leave the place without eating.I forever banned this restaurant and not coming back in the rest of my life!!!!!!!!!!
MoreOverly hyped restaurant. The food were not bad per se, but the chicken wings they're so famous for were nothing special and a bit bland to be honest. The beef satay skewers was overly sweet but the other dishes we tried - fried stingray and morning glory - were very nice. They were very busy when we went but the service was reasonably fast. Price was fair but do make sure to double check the bill as they sneakily added an extra dish that we didn't order.
MoreLate night stop after round of drinks! Chicken wings always make sure u end your night with a bang. Definitely a popular spot, many other dishes are also good (e.g the bihun with fried pork noodles, salted egg squid
MoreYes this place is overrated. The staffs especially chinese aunty who is taking orders is rather inattentive and impolite. Probably because she is busy. The food taste so so to be honest. Nothing special (We didnt try the chicken wings though). But the price is definitely overcharged. Many other options available around.
MoreSuper polite lady that serviced us. This is a Super famous shop that has plenty of history and it has not disappoint. Order the salted egg chicken and lup Cheong fried rice! Chicken wings are a must order too - after all this place is named after its wings!
MoreOur goto place for a light dinner and its the usual chicken wings and satay for us. We had 5 pieces of chicken, 15 satay sticks and two mineral water, total is RM41. If you like the energy of Jalan Alor, this is a great place to eat and watch people go by. It's mostly tourists here with the occasional locals like us getting into the mix.
MoreYou really must try eat in this place. I'll share you the food that I eat, it's really delicious. I know this place by watched Ria SW YouTube
MoreA place not to be miss if you are in the area!Great variety of food especially the Chicken Wings.Yummy, Yummy!
MoreNot nice. Portion too little. Expensive. Don't recommend. Many better places nearby.
MoreAwarded Penangite's stamp of extreme disapproval. Bluekkkk
Food so-soPoor service. During peak hours, all the workers are very hot temper (the customer just request for baby chair, worker raise the voice and being rude). They show only good side to foreign tourists.Over-priced. I'm quite sure that you can get better food and services with the price in Klang Valley.
MoreWere passing by and couldn't resist to try their signature chicken wings and satay. The food and milk tea we ordered were delicious. Service is fast. Nothing outstanding but just a good food.
MoreHad a great start to our holiday by having dinner here at Jalan Alor. They say don’t stop at the first stall you see, but I beg to differ! Everything was delicious, especially the beef satay and chilli cockles which had me coming back for the next 2 nights for takeaway. It was that good. Chicken wings were alright, a little too dry for me. But everything else was fantastic!Had dinner at some other stall along this street on another night, but everything here was WAY BETTER hands down. Staff were surprisingly warm and friendly! It was raining heavily and we were so hungry, but food was served very quickly. It was one of those warm comforting dinners that turned out surprisingly good and unforgettable. Will definitely be back for more cockles and satay!
MoreMassive menu with 100+ choice. Must try the salted egg sotong. The portion not worth the price and the chicken wing/satay taste soso.. not impressive at all, overrated.
MoreLocal Chinese Restaurant, seafood and the dishes are delicious. Famous with the chicken wing and the satay is nice too.
MoreThe food tastes good but prices are on the high side for the portions which were quite small. Prices definitely cater to tourists. If you are in the area and want some good Chinese Malaysian food this is a decent place. Chicken wings and most of the seafood dishes were good.
MoreThe food is decent tasting, but the small portions don't warrant the prices. Also, the service is indifferent at best, and mostly pretty rude. I ordered multiple dishes dining on my own and they asked me to pay before the food even came. I suspect it's because they thought I might dine and dash? And when I asked for a napkin after the meal, the waitress told me they should really charge me for it. The weird thing is that, all the other tables got napkins when they received their check at the end of the meal. At least for me, it was a bad experience even I wasn't exactly looking for any high end dining experience....just common courtesy stuff. There are too many other good stalls on the street to put up with them.
MoreFood is alright, but the service, tourist beware as what you request might became double in size when you want to add on. The attitude is very bad.
MoreOne of famous restaurant at alor street. It located near the end of the street. It overly famous among the tourist, and so many of them come to eat here. At that time, i order salted fish fried rice, stir fry veggies, chicken satay, and their famous chicken wings. The fried rice and veggies dish are just ok for me, for the satay i really like the peanut sauce, its so tasty. The best one for me is the chicken wings, its crisp outside but still juicy and tender inside. Eat one surely wont be enough for you. Price is standard restaurant..
MoreIt is one of local Chinese foodstalls at food street of KL, Jalen Ah Loy. We did try BBQ chicken wing, roasted devil fish, and roasted soy sauce chicken. More like early 70s Hong Kong, but still remain authentic way of cooking.
MoreThis iconic stall needs no more introduction. Its been featured in many variety shows, blogs. They are famous for their BBQ chicken wings which are nicely charred outside yet it retained the moisture inside. Beside that we also ordered a few other dishes like the salted egg squid, KL hokkien noodle, fried rice, veg and beancurd which are not bad as well. The staff were more friendlier as compared to my previous visit.
MoreThe staffs were rude. I almost got ripped off if I hadn’t checked the bill in close detail. So be extra cautious when it comes to paying! When the bill came to me, it turned out that they overcharged my orders which I specifically confirmed the prices with them previously. When I pointed out the mistake to them, the staff answered me rudely with this,”Ms, the menu is so thick how do you expect me to remember everything?”It was a total bummer especially when I was hoping to bring my foreign friends for a good experience. Think twice before deciding to go to this place.
MoreGreat bbq chicken wings and salted egg squid
Wong Ah Wah Chicken Wings. Jalan Alor Tried the food cause it was recommended by blogger BUT really disappointed... seem over rated failed to fulfil.Ordered the BBQ chicken wings just so so, noodles above average, Satay sauce is good BUT the beef stick taste like solid rubber band.
MoreBe prepared for terrible services if you plan to go on Friday or Saturday or on public holidays. I ordered the famous chicken wings and other dishes. We had already finished eating all the other dishes but the chicken wings still had not arrived. So I asked the boss to check whether that they had forgotten our orders because the other tables that came after us already gotten their chicken wings. Instead of apologizing and went to check our orders, the boss just told us that their chicken wings is the most famous dish here and therefore it is normal that we had to wait for a very long time, if we did not want to wait we could just pay and leave. That was what we did. There is no tipping system, the chicken wings that we ordered and cancelled can be simply passed on to another customer since they are so popular, so there is no incentive for them to act nice at all.The food is not bad but it is totally not worth at all to be treated as "trash" for food that is not bad.
MoreIt's always crowded and it seems difficult to find empty tables. My sis asked someone to share tables with us. The waiter seems accustomed to it since she knows at first glance that we shared tables and give us separate bills. Delicious food, I can ask vegan fried rice here.
MoreI came at 8:30pm. Contrary to some comments here, I found the staff attentive and polite. They led us to a table and then waited for my order patiently. I waited for about 10 minutes and all my orders came. Food was delicious. Chicken wing is a must eat. Very juicy. Plum juice that I ordered was also very good. Overall a very good experience and will certainly visit again when I come to KL next time!
MoreWe loved the food ! Our late night dinner experience was great. Staff was welcoming. (I didn’t quite like the texture of the sting ray but my parents liked it) and I LOVED the wings though! I had at least 4! Will come back again .
MoreMust go for the chicken wing! Thry grilled juz nice with juicy meat but crispy skin
MoreIt's alot street where tourist comes. The food quality is on par but pricing wise is higher than normal. Service is okay.
MoreNot sure why the other reviews were so negative. I was quite pleased with the service and the food quality. Chicken wing is a must-have. Clams were very spicy and flavorful but the presentation is so-so. If you are used to HK street stalls - cantonese style cooking - this is not the same. I also ordered the grilled stingray but not too impressed. Not necessarily a problem with the cooking but the texture of the fish itself. All in all, I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
MoreAbit pricy
The chicken wings is just so so, but the portion is big enough.
Nice food, friendly service and clean restaurant.
Oke oke food. Unnecessary high prices. Worst service. We were sat at a table .. given the menu .. waited 10 minutes .. then somebody came and said that this table is not for 2 people and we should stand up and go in the restaurant (also theirs) next door ...Next door we ordered some stuff after another 15 min waiting. After another 20min the orders came. Between uns dining also the guy came and asked us to pay. (In the between of a meal!)Food is overpriced and the service is bad. Would recommend going in other stall on the same street.
MoreThey have a few dishes that are good like the salted egg sotong, but most dishes are just so-so. The service is horrible and in the future will take visiting friends to another one on the street. They're rude and adding beer or other items can be more trouble than it's worth. Worst of all, if they forget a dish, they won't you cancel it and immediately try to make it so they can charge you. With guests, it's not polite to argue loudly, so it's best to go elsewhere to avoid uncomfortable situations.
MoreOver-priced. Food is below standards. You can get better food with the same price range in a better environment. Not worth the time and money. You are better off spending it elsewhere, seriously.
MoreChicken wings are overrated. Other food are normal and mediocre. Tourist trap.
A very small plate of Balitong cost RM20.HIGHLY NFOT RECOMMEND
Dear readers, always trust Google bad reviews, it happened to me and I couldn't emphasize more how disappointing my dining experience. No exaggeration, only facts. This place has no system at all and everyone didn't know what they were doing, running here and there, indeed it will be a good place if you wish to enjoy workplace discrimination, conflict and drama. It is a shame to witness such an old restaurant struggling managing it's own business. Pathetic customer service is what you are about to pay for. That's not what hospitality should be. The whole time I was experiencing stressful atmosphere seeing how the staffs were treated, it wasn't cool. How about the food? Nothing much different from the leftover food in my fridge. Again, all truth, all fact.
MoreThe standard has dropped considerably since my last visit a few years back. The chicken wings felt over rated this time and the satay was below average as the meat was hard and inadequately charred. The only thing that did not drop was the price which was above average. Sadly don't think I will be back again...
MoreThe place I will sure visit wherever I’m in KL. Suggestion, if you wish to have the best taste for each dish you order, visit them from 5-8pm as that time, the head chef normally are the one take care of all the cooking, after that, standard will drop a bit. Many said this place are for tourist, for me, they serve you the original KL food and they will not give you less spicy or less salty food because you are tourist, price for me is reasonable especially they are located in the center of KL.
More| K L || ~ $|.........✨TGIF✨being a first timer in KL - I went to check out #jalanalor street food, the place is really touristy I got to say lined with pushy salesppl 🙈 but preserve to the end of the road and you will find Wong ah Wah restaurant👍 the only one that doesn’t have bright lights and overfriendly staff😂 their bbq chicken wings 🐓 is a must get! the smoky char skin is so addictive🤤 Malaysia Satay is more soft and spiced than Singapore satay so not to miss as well! Best of all, I came all the way to get my craving for KL HOKKIEN MEE! It’s not the famous one but it’s good enough will be back for the chicken again and again 😂.........#burpple #malaysianfood #malaysiafoodie #instafood #foodforfoodies #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodies #sgfood #travelkl #topfoodnews #myfooddiary #klfoodhunter #sglocal #singaporefood #kleats #msia #kopitam #myfoodie #klfoodies #singaporeinsiders #klfood #tfcsg #klfoodie #klrestaurant
MoreWhile I agree that the service is definitely not super charismatic, I disagree with many other reviewers in the the food came very quickly and hot. I am not. huge on the flavor of the chicken wings but they were cooked to perfection which made them very juicy and on it's own makes this place worth the visit. We had a large selection of noodles, vegetables and meats dishes and were impressed with the variety of flavors given the affordability of the restaurant. Satisfied overall.
MoreEveryone I know says this place is overrated, but every time I've been here has been quite pleasurable. The famed chicken wings are nothing to write home about, but they're solid and delicious with the accompanying chilli. Other dishes are well executed too. For me, the go-to dish here is the pork intenstine stir fried with chilli and dried shrimps. What a flavour bomb! Lamb satay is also pretty good. Opens late, so great place for a late night feed. Don't come here expecting service though.
MoreThe food portion is quite small and the price was on the high side. Being a KL people it’s was my first time visit Jalan Alor and come here to have some chicken wings. The lala order medium but the size was small. Tourist place being an tourist place, there was others place nicer than this.
